Owning and managing your own business takes a great deal of courage and time; I really enjoy knowing that with my help business owners can make informed decisions to ensure their business succeeds.

Alex joined Warrener Stewart as a qualified chartered accountant in November 2015. Since then he has become a valued member of the accountancy team, building relationships with clients to help them reach their business aims.

A keen scientist, Alex chose a degree in Natural Sciences at Durham University, allowing him the flexibility to study a range of subjects ranging from maths to earth sciences. Following his graduation, he spent a season as ski host before starting his career as a data analyst for Bank of America Merrill Lynch. This involved reviewing data to ensure the company was meeting clients' objectives.

Whilst a challenging role, Alex felt he wanted more direct involvement with clients, so he embarked on an ACA training contract with a medium sized accountancy practice, Shipleys LLP. During his accountancy training he was involved in leading audits, due diligence, forecasting and accounts preparations.

Upon qualifying he looked for a role which would allow him the opportunity to build his own portfolio of clients, which led him to join Warrener Stewart. He liked Warrener Stewart’s aim of helping businesses reach their goals by thorough assessment and analysis of the business and its needs.

“we loved Warrener Stewart’s dynamic approach and really felt that they wanted to be part of our future.”
